Carol McNeill (nee West) grew up in Sydney and attended Macquarie University as a Mature Age Student.

After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Australian History she continued her interests in history and genealogy and began writing her family history and her husband's family history.

Carol and her husband moved to Brisbane in 2003 and now join the 'grey nomads' in travelling around the countryside in their caravan.
